So I need to be "ridiculed, condemned, tortured, murdered, discriminated against for being straight" before I can just have a parade? What if I just want to have a parade because parades can be fun and not because I'm "upset and cracking a tantrum simply because [I'm not] receiving any attention"?

You can have a parade for anything you want. No one is stopping you.
Just giving you the reasons why "straight pride" exists.

But I think you already knew that and were just looking to stir the pot and get a reaction... And this probably isn't the thread for that.

"No one is stopping you"

>Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the protesters that show up to straight pride parades.

"Just giving you the reasons why "straight pride" exists"

>So you are going to tell me why my "straight pride" exists? Seems a little presumptive to say the least. What if I were to presume why gay pride exists? Would that be fair? What if I were to go full-conspiracy mode and think gay pride was a secret plot to undermine the family unit? Would that be fair?

I certainly don't think that would be fair.

"But I think you already knew that and were just looking to stir the pot and get a reaction..."

>Well if you must know, I'm not looking to stir any pot. I just felt it was an interesting topic to discuss.

Opinions on a straight pride parade?

Like heterosexuality is being invisibilized in your mind or something? Seriously?

If you seriously think that that's the case, just turn on your TV and watch it for 30 minutes. Play a popular video game. Go to the grocery store and listen to the radio playing in the background. Ask yourself how many gay candidates for president there are (and also, how many of those are women). Or go to church, where they'll probably tell you heterosexuality is the only morally acceptable "lifestyle". Or stand in line for a ride at the local amusement park. You know, just be alive in 2020 because there is no rational way that you can possibly feel invisibilized because of your other-sex attraction. If somehow you're managing, try imagining how I feel. Ever thought of that before?

I don't think that's the case, I'm just looking to have a parade for fun's sake.
