Not at all, but I find it highly illogical to even think it's fair to blame consumers, when in reality, it was up to the billion dollar company to make a small game a reality. The fact it couldn't do something other studios have done with relative ease just shows they are woefully incompetent, but to put some blame on consumers for their shitty output just seems, ignorant of the big picture?. Like I get a small, very, very small number demanded the game become some warped spawn of satan, but really, like I said before, no one should ever be listening to that minority, instead listening to those of us who just wanted a remaster, new cut scenes, voice cast from WoW, higher frame rate for units, custom maps being untouched, and support for the older game. Hardly a majority wanted the game warped, with old pieces staying and some slight new aspects being added. A lot of what has transpired falls directly on Blizzard, from the refunds to the fact that the game's start menu isn't even a core part of the game itself, and that it requires a whole CPU core, while using it well above it's normal utilisation. I'd say CoD's and Creeds being spammed yearly, being charged for more, being heavily watered down and littered with MT's, are more the fault of both consumer and company, because fans accept crap like that, while fans waiting for one game for 18 YEARS, just wanted one quality remaster, and they couldn't even get that. |
I think most post put the overwhelming majority of the blame at Blizzards feet.
Essentially my point is that a whole bunch of people thought they wanted a remaster but mostly they just wanted more people to come back and play regular old Warcraft 3 with them - if you're right they are a minority, well, Blizzard listened to that minority. Which was stupid.
