Interesting considering the subscription model is profitable in the music and tv industry. Please if you can explain the difference.

As far as gaming goes, many indie devs praise Game Pass. It’s easy access for many who wouldn’t buy the game unless it was on sale. Never mind launch. And GP users tell their non GP buddies and devs report more overall sales too.

Aren't music artist constantly complayning that spotify and the like are not paying enough?

I saw a Rolling Stones article recently that said they’re making more than ever off of streaming services. Either way, some complaining that it’s not enough doesn’t mean it actually isn’t. Just shows some are greedier than others.

EA just said there’s not much room for software on Switch outside of Nintendo titles. Does that make it fact that third parties can’t sell viable software on Switch? No, it means one publisher wants more than they currently get.

It can’t even be a discussion for television/movie content. Instead of just normal syndication revenue, they get that plus tons of money from these streaming services who bid for exclusive rights.
