Even if the Lite made up only 20% of sales, that is still an extra 407K units sold in Dec.  Of course, my guess is it is closer to 25%-30%, as it currently sits at 36% of total sales in Japan for this year.  There's no denying that the $199 Lite more than likely saved it from being down YOY and is 100% what helped it hit the 2M mark.

Not sure why pointing out this simple fact after someone wrongly stated "2M without a pricecut!" seems to upset some.

Releasing a cut down model with less features at a reduced price isn't the same as a price cut; the regular Switch, which is one the most buyers chose, still costs as much as it did at launch.

And the Lite's not really doing "wonders" when the $300 base model still comprises the bulk of sales.

Entry price saw a cut.  Whether that was through a SKU price cut or a new lower priced SKU really doesn't matter.  And I didn't say the Lite was doing wonders all by itself.  I said it was doing wonders for the Switch, as a whole.  It saved it from being down YOY and pushed it past 2M in Dec.  An extra 400K+ in sales isn't anything to sneeze at.
