Friday news, part two:

The Joker is having a bloody good time in his Mortal Kombat 11 trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-joker-is-having-a-bloody-good-time-in-his-mortal-kombat-11-trailer/
It's good to see someone enjoying their work, even if that work involves brutally murdering Mortal Kombat 11 fighters. The Joker is the penultimate DLC addition to NetherRealm's gory fighting game, due out later this month in early access, but before that you can watch him action above.

Climb ruins and burn your possessions in Bonfire Peaks
https://www.pcgamer.com/climb-ruins-and-burn-your-possessions-in-bonfire-peaks/
I like to climb. Not in real life, mind; I prefer to be inside and sitting down. But in the land of videogames, I've become a bit smitten with rambling hikes thanks to the likes of Death Stranding and A Short Hike. And now here comes Bonfire Peaks, with more things to climb. And burn, for some reason.

Try your hand at CTF Blitz in the Overwatch Lunar New Year event
https://www.pcgamer.com/try-your-hand-at-ctf-blitz-in-the-overwatch-lunar-new-year-event/
The Overwatch Lunar New Year event is back for 2020, celebrating the Year of the Rat with a new game mode called CTF Blitz. It's Capture the Flag—the "CTF" part probably gave that away—but the flags are much closer together than they usually are, in locations that are normally used for overtime rounds. Because of the increased action resulting from that tighter proximity, teams will need six captures to win, rather than the usual three.

Skyrim has a vampire problem in The Elder Scrolls Online's next year of updates
https://www.pcgamer.com/skyrim-has-a-vampire-problem-in-the-elder-scrolls-onlines-next-year-of-updates/
At the game awards in December, The Elder Scrolls Online debuted a teaser trailer putting a pin in last year's adventures in Elsweyr and teasing this year's new excursion to Skyrim. Today Bethesda is showing off more of what to expect when we return to the Nord homeland. The snow and ice will have an extra bite, it turns out, because Western Skyrim has a vampire problem.

Rainbow Six Siege is tinkering with ADS times on all weapons and other big changes

In preparation for Rainbow Six Siege Year 5, Ubisoft is testing dramatic nerfs and buffs that could shake up the meta, if implemented. Most significant among the tests is a sweeping increase to all aim-down-sight (ADS) times for every weapon in the game.

World of Horror, a creepy 1-bit style horror RPG, will release next month
https://www.pcgamer.com/world-of-horror-a-creepy-1-bit-style-horror-rpg-will-release-next-month/
World of Horror is a gorgeous horror RPG with an art style inspired by manga artist https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junji_Ito" target="_blank">Junji Ito. Presented in an austere 1-bit aesthetic (think The Return of Obra Dinn), it's a card-oriented RPG with roguelite elements, turn-based combat, puzzles, choice driven scenarios... basically, it seems to be a lot of things, and it's the game I'm most excited to play in early 2020.

Solve a festive puzzle in small, free adventure A Good Tree
https://www.pcgamer.com/solve-a-festive-puzzle-in-small-free-adventure-a-good-tree/
All you need for Christmas is good company, and A Good Tree (maybe). You've got the former, in this teeny browser adventure game. You're only lacking the latter, which you'll set off in search of, from your snowy forest home.

https://www.pcgamer.com/baldurs-gate-3-developer-larian-teases-that-somethings-brewing/
It’s been a while since we heard any news about Baldur’s Gate 3, the much-anticipated follow-up to what is widely considered one of the best RPGs of all time. We may not have long to wait now, though, as developer Larian Studios (of Divnity: Original Sin fame) is teasing that something is coming on Thursday, February 27.

Cyberpunk 2077 developers will be required to crunch following its delay
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-developers-will-be-required-to-crunch-following-its-delay/
CD Projekt Red will be crunching to finish Cyberpunk 2077, despite it recently being delayed until September.
In a question-and-answer conference call, CD Projekt's co-CEO Adam Kicińsk admitted that the development team will be required to put in longer hours as the game's launch approaches. In it, he says "[they] try to limit crunch as much as possible, but it is the final stage. We try to be reasonable in this regard, but yes. Unfortunately [the team will be required to crunch]."
>> How the f*ck were they expecting to finish the game in April if they'll still have to crunch with an extra 5 months?
