Theres clearly a massive differnce in mind share, between the two brands.
(which is ironic considering some ad firm (US), rated xbox brand as being worth alot more than playstation)

Probably because, globally, XBOX has come in last place in every time.  That said, in the US the XBOX brand is much larger than globally.  Further, because MS is transitioning heavily towards the cloud and services.  The XBOX brand will not be limited by console failures as it has been in the past.
