Wanting to upgrade and needing to upgrade are two totally different things. You also seem to think that "PC gamers" are a synchronized hivemind, where every member wants the same. Some want to upgrade this or next year, some need to upgrade this or next year, but very few will need to upgrade next year to play new games on a decent level. And please stop stressing your narrative of the "PC master race", these are strawman arguments.
Most PC gamers won't have a problem if the new consoles are a bit faster than their mid-range PCs (or aged high-end PCs) as long as the new games still run fine on it. They don't have to panickly invest in new hardware this year and probably also not next year.
Oh, your infamous PC thread where everything in the topic is wrong? "Next Gen has arrived"... not yet, still 11 months to go "PC gamers also need an upgrade."... we'll have to wait and see how fast the new consoles really are and which PC gamers really need an upgrade to play most 2020, 2021 and 2022 games. "Xbox Series X specs will be the minimum requirement for next 7 years"... you still don't understand what minimum means. Also the bar will be lower if the PS5 has less performance than the Xbox Series X. |
Next Gen has arrived according to PC Master Race along time ago, i am just delivering what most PC race told me since 2013 when PS4 where announced.
Where if it's not an upgrade then you either building a new one or already has the newest one or perhaps, you want to wait to upgrade or maybe even you satisfied with low spec games.
That's true, If PS5 is lower maybe the PS5 will be the standard.
