You won't reach those speeds unless you transfer huge file sizes. They will use it mainly for gaming where the reading speed will be much, much lower depending on files size and amount. They could also go for SATA 3 SSD. Difference in this environment is so small its not even noticeable. Important part is the low access time to files.
