"A playstation" is a Sony console, "a Nintendo" is a console where you can play Mario.
In Europe, the NES was mostly called "the Nintendo" (cause Nintendo Entertainment System doesn't make any sense), and thus the Super Nintendo and after that the Nintendo 64.
The only exception was the Wii (which isn't the Nintendo Wii but just "Wii") and then the Wii U. But Nintendo came back to their roots and called the Switch "Nintendo Switch"
"Quagmire, are you the type of guy who takes 'no' for an answer ?"
"My lawyer doesn't allow me to answer that question"
