One of my favourite games of all time, remade to look f*ing awesome and I'm not hyped or excited as I should be. Different gameplay, different story, different locals, fewer characters (Red is in Midgar SquEnix, where is he?), having to change how the game was paced because it's split into 3 parts to get as much (£) from us as possible, also meaning there is confusion over how characters level and how it works between games. "Remake." or different game with same characters.

I heard rumours of traditional ATB combat in it but all they do is talk about button mashing crap in promotion. Shiva is controlable? Why just summon her and have her do damage then leave, why are they adding FFX and 12 summon mechanic to FF7?

And all this means we probably won't even see FF16 until PS6.

Red 13 will be there, they are jusy slowly revealing the characters, I dont know why people are freaking out that he wont be there, we still need to see Hojo, Reeves, and Rufus, we will have months of trailers and promotion to go through. The story will be the same as they have said many times, its just they are going to be fleshing things out more like with avalanche and given more love to areas like the train graveyard. The first part is still 2 blu-ray discs big so its not like they arent packing in a lot of content. Cant say anything how the datas will transfer to the next parts though.

The traditional mode makes the characters do the simple weak attacks on their own but you have to select abilities your self when the atb fills up. Summons aren't controllable, you summon them and they act on their own, you can issue them certain attacks and when their timer runs out they do their main attack like hell fire or diamond dust.

Square enix has many teams and divisions. Most of the rumors are that Naoki Yoshida is potentially directing Final Fantasy 16 with a separate team.
