Nope, the winner could not be more spot on. Sekiro is the mix of From's own ideas aaaand… some normal gameplay.

Smash is the biggest success of the year critically and commercially. It's a massive hit with casuals, fans, and competitive audiences alike. It's an extremely ambitious and polished game that brings together dozens of different game universes together, with loads of different franchises, different developers, different companies, all being represented in a massive game with over 70 characters, 100 stages, and 1000 songs - and counting. It's a huge celebration of gaming unlike anything else that's ever happened in the industry.

I don't know how deserving Sekiro is, because I haven't played it and neither am I interested, but Smash was definitely the best pick here.

Agree, and Fire Emblem not being included in the category was BS.  I haven't played the game but I can just tell from reviews/game play that it is a "good game".  Games like Sekiro, Death Stranding, etc are just the same formula over and over.  I just don't understand the appeal of playing the same game every year.
