I believe Hideo Kojima may consider spiritual successor to silent hill as he has bad blood with konami and that fact he has proven that he does not need konami to make successful games, meaning he is unlikely to do so, I feel he is more likely to make spiritual successor to Policenauts or Snatcher but instead as a graphic novel, action based game within those worlds.
