Sure can the problem is, most people only use them for 1 game at best. I don't know of any other games that use the guitar.. People buy them because of that one game. I don't see any developers building games for that guitar..

 

The point I was making is developers will make something unique at times and it will work for big hits like Guitar Hero but bottom line is developers want to build games to the lowest common denominator. Adding a periphrial to EVERY game is just pointless as it increases cost all around and not every game is gonna be as popular as guitar hero. Developers will continue to build to the lowest common denominator.
