On reflection, I think that Sony's plan not to update the PSVR is actually pretty clever. The sorts of people who will be early adopters of the PS5 are likely to have already bought a PSVR for their PS4, so the percentage of VR users on PS5 will very high at launch...
...I am surprised that Microsoft don't just support plugging in a third party VR system. In fact I imagine that they'll suddenly support that when the time comes.
