Friday news, part two:
Sea of Thieves updates: Latest patch notes from update 2.0.9
https://www.pcgamer.com/sea-of-thieves-update/
Sea of Thieves is expanding its horizons. The jumbo-sized free Anniversary update added Tall Tales quests and brand new PvP. As of July 2019, Sea of Thieves now receives monthly content updates that give players new reasons to climb aboard their ships and set sail with a tankard full of grog. The centerpieces of monthly updates are Voyages, a new repeatable (limited time) quest type themed around the latest event.
Ubisoft is making major changes to how damage is dealt in Rainbow Six Siege
https://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-is-making-major-changes-to-how-damage-is-dealt-in-rainbow-six-siege/
At the start of Operation Shifting Tides, bullets in Rainbow Six Siege will be a bit more potent. Ubisoft is currently testing a new limb penetration system that allows bullets to travel through one limb and into another. Shots from most guns will now "upgrade" to count against the highest-value body part in their path. If you hit both a chest hitbox and an arm hitbox, the chest hitbox is what will register.
Bungie details big changes coming to Destiny 2's Solar subclasses
https://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-details-big-changes-coming-to-destiny-2s-solar-subclasses/
The latest This Week at Bungie update digs into some of the changes coming to Destiny 2's Solar subclasses when the Season of Dawn goes live in December. As it's said previously, the goal of the changes is to "revisit some older subclass paths and freshen them up a bit," which for the Solar class means changes to three subclasses: Gunslinger: Way of the Sharpshooter, Sunbreaker: Code of the Devastator, and Dawnblade: Attunement of Sky.
You merely adopted Fortnite's Slurp. This 'Big Chuggus' skin was born in it.

If you've ever wondered what Bane was guzzling through all those tubes on his body, apparently it's the refreshing, literally medicinal taste of Fortnite Slurp. This new Fortnite skin, lovingly dubbed "Big Chuggus," is a special kind of creation.
Resident Evil 3 Remake is apparently in development
https://www.pcgamer.com/resident-evil-3-remake-is-apparently-in-development/
Following the success of Resident Evil 2 Remake, it looks like Capcom has moved onto its sequel. A report from YouTube channel Spawn Wave claims that a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is currently in development.
Half-Life: Alyx is a full-length game set before Half-Life 2
https://www.pcgamer.com/half-life-alyx-is-a-full-length-game-set-before-half-life-2/
After teasing it earlier this week, Valve has now unveiled Half-Life: Alyx, a VR romp set between the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2, when Alyx and her dad, Eli Vance, form the resistance to defend the planet against the alien Combine forces.
>> Oh! And both Alyx and Eli will have different voices than in HL2.
Half-Life: Alyx is just the beginning of Valve's return to the series
https://www.pcgamer.com/half-life-alyx-is-just-the-beginning-of-valves-return-to-the-series/
A new Half-Life is coming, and while it's not Half-Life 3, or even Episode 3, it feels very good to type that out. Half-Life: Alyx is a VR spin-off set before Half-Life 2, though, so what about the series' future and other platforms? While we probably won't see Alyx appear outside of VR, Valve still has plans for Half-Life beyond the latest outing.
Cyberpunk 2077 might feature Elon Musk's dumb truck
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-might-feature-elon-musks-dumb-truck/
Elon Musk wheeled out the latest vehicular innovation from Oni Consumer Products yesterday. The Cybertruck is perfect if you care about the environment but also want to pretend you're driving through an '80s sci-fi dystopia. We might be seeing more of it next year, not on real roads, but on the digital streets of Cyberpunk 2077's Night City.
>> You can talk about that pick-up (because that's not a truck) at HollyGamer's thread. As for this thing being on the game, my opinion is that it's just a joke because of its futuristic looks.
