It seems that against some predictions Death Stranding held a higher score than Pokemon Sword and Shield.

I am glad you brought this up. I am trying to understand what is going on when I go to Twitter and other places.

I see most people saying how "Pokémon" reviews have been "GREAT" and how "Death Stranding" are "MIXED". I may be living in a different reality because "Death Stranding" Metacritic is higher and it has so many 100, but Pokémon has 0. Not trying to compare or anything, but how is the concept that Pokémon got Great Reviews and Death Stranding got Mixed? Why no one is saying Pokémon reviews aren't good, but keeps says 1000 times how Death Stranding were not good. I don't get it.

Because Nintendo games are almost always overrated from critics side of view. They are almost scared to give bad score for it (except for straight on spin offs like Olympic games, and that is the case because of Sonic, so they can punish it however they want lol). For Pokemon, game is not obviously that good, but critics do not want to punish it with mediocre scores. Honestly, game is 3DS level of polish. It deserves 60-70%. And Luigi's Mansion is a great game, but there is no way it's better than Death Stranding lol. (I know that this site is full of Nintendo lovers, and I also love their games, but we need to be objective for some things)

For Death Stranding, if you compare it to the Crysis which had 90%, you can find some similarities. Both games have outstanding graphics, high level presentation and audio quality, and only because of that, game should get at least 6-70%. And you add a phenomenal story to that. Critics for both games somewhat critised empty worlds and maybe not that engaging gameplay (it's not my opinion, I think that both games are open world done right). Stevivor review is a shameful troll- There is no way that Stevivor should be on metacritic, but there is another problem - if you delist it, it would be like punishing freedom of speech, which is definetely not right thing to. Everyone can be game critic today, and there are many soyboys that just cannot and are not able to play some games. I ask myself frequently - are they really gamers? Cuphead and tutorial level, Crash Bandicoot Trilogy too hard (lol), for Sekiro only 8, for Resident Evil 2 Remake they did not know about second campaign etc.

I have a question, what is happening to gamerankings? They do not have search bar anymore. I've sent mail to them, but no one responded. Such a shame, it had a huge catalogue from fifth generation (even partly for four), and site was only games based. Metacritic is huge mess.
