MP3 is not meant to battle Halo 3. Actually MP and Halo aren't anything alike. And really Metroid is a better series than Halo could ever wish to be. Should be the other way around not trying to kill Halo cause Metroid is the longer standing and overall better series.
But MP3 is a very hardcore game. More so than Halo. Halo can be played by kids, adults, core gamers, ect. It's a simple game compared to Metroid. Metroid is a difficult game that is for the fanbase. It's not for kids or for the less core gamers or what not. It is simply for the hardcore gamer. Thus it'll never reach extremely high sales. At the Most MP3 will sale 3 million worldwide.
But MP3, like Zelda: TP, gives the hardcore gamer the best that's out there just strengthening Wii's lineups. Games that are similar to what Halo is doing would be Galaxy and Smash Bros Brawl. Like Halo these titles can appeal to more than just outside hardcore gamer, something Metroid hasn't and never can do because of it's game setup. But MP3 will push some hardware and is a good edition for the Wii lineup overall.
