@leo-j: Let's just say that the 360 came out earlier, and so far it seems any advantages the PS3 will get will be minimal.

You say so far, but we already have games that are much better looking on the PS3, not to mention the 360 has yet to top gears of war visually.

Which games might that be, and how many frames per second are they pushing?

Uncharted drakes fortune(30fps) - Lots of repeated textures, its technically less impressive than GTAIV which uses a range of textures to convey a diverse world. It may look nicer because that style is simply easier to achieve. It doesn't make it better.

Metal gear solid 4(60fps at times) I've dealt with this, actually the frame rate average was 26.2. I rounded it up as a friendly gesture. It gets as LOW as 20fps AVERAGE not minimum - remember that fact PLEASE.

GT5 (60fps) There is no XBOX 360 game that tops any of those visually. Agree on the frame rate. See below.

Not to mention killzone 2 blows those 3 games away. Subjective as always, will have to wait for the expert eyes to cast their votes.

I agree it would be an interesting test.

Unfortunately, the Euro version of GT5:P has no London circuit in the S class section... it only appears once during the whole event cycle. The London event has been replaced by the High Speed Ring. I did an arcade mode test but it's pretty useless in that the cars are evenly spaced. Best I could do was three cars on-screen once.

With three cars on-screen and close-up it dropped to about 57fps at 1080p but I only had the cars on-screen for around three seconds.

I can't go online because stupidly, PS3 TEST units will download updates but won't install them.

GT5p = Agreed.
