I am not seeing how GTA4 can stop HALO3, nor why anyone would want to stop HALO3 (clearly there are a lot of people who like it a lot).
HALO3 is like Super Smash Bros, will sell a big chunk to it's existing intended audience, but won't sell outside that core group.
And you know what, that's fine too.
