The limits actually seem reasonable. Thing is, this is just another concerning creep of the authoritarian government influence in their citizen's lives.
The sad part is that I don't think anything will change before the chinese model exhausts itself out due to demographic decline or perhaps a hard landing following a worldwide recession provoking a situation like Chile lives today.
