I saw a video from a guy who was saying Breath Of The Wild used the old Assassin's Creed mechanic but since it's Nintendo, everybody is saying "genius" instead of bashing the game. I don't know the guy in the video said it was from a 10 years old AC. He did not say the title exactly. I thought it was the first one. I stopped AC after the third one.
