A bit of a bummer for the PS4 line-up, and right before launch nonetheless. I'm all for the PC getting good games, but Death Stranding seemed to be in Sony's court, and exclusives tend to be better experiences as they are created with the hardware in mind. I'm assuming Kojima has known about this for awhile, and didn't want to upset PC gamers by announcing it after people already bought their copy on PS4. I would think the profit margin on PC would be higher, although I really have no idea (just trying to rationalize it).

I'm still going to buy my copy on PS4, as I don't wait any longer than I have to to play games. Now if this was a simultaneous PC and PS4 release, that would be a whole different thing. I have an overclocked 1070 FTW which would probably tip the odds unless the port was bad.

But you really can't blame Kojima for wanting money, and plus we have no idea of the details. I'm assuming he didn't break a contract, and I wouldn't be surprised if Sony made a deal stating the the game needed to be branded as a PS4 exclusive up until a certain point, even if it was never intended to be that way. Seeing people turn on Kojima after this is a bit bothersome to me, though. Especially after the bullshit he had to deal with from Konami.

Bold: We've all known about it for awhile (since 2015) but I guess many people forgot.

I agree that it's dumb to be mad about this. I don't have a problem with 1st party exclusives but 3rd party games launching on as many platforms as "possible" is a good thing.
