Well if they make it f2p or with sub for the game then it won't need PS+. but then it would be an even worse play imho than being a regular retail release MP only. I will avoid the game anyway as I don't play online. Just posted the new because I haven't seem it before.

I didn't see at the time.

They probably will make much more money. I would say very little people bought TLOU because of MP exclusively (or that would not buy TLOU2 because it lacks MP). So if they do a good game out of this MP that will be extra profit on a similar budget they had planned.

Yeah, and online games can generate a lot of profit.

I just hope they don't get greed over it, they have a lot of dlc stuff out for TLoU and U4 multiplayers, having a game being exclusively multiplayer will definitely make them do it even more, and if it go the wrong way...

Multiplayer can't ever become the focus of ND, much less being greed over it.

Gladly their games are selling like crazy so they don't really need it, but money is a bitch, even if one have a lot already he will likely still keep wanting more...

Well, for now it's a distant fear, TLoU2 will surely is a damn good sign they are still getting better and better.

Yes that is one issue possible.

But if they just decide to go the route "SP game only", "standalone expansion", "MP game only with regular MTX and DLCs" and give greater focus to SP, mildly focus on the expansion and just use the same material for a small team to make the MP game I can live with it while avoiding the MP.
