Lucasfilms shuts down the Star Wars Rogue Squadron fan remake in Unreal Engine 4

Remember the Star Wars Rogue Squadron fan remake in Unreal Engine 4 we reported back in 2018? Well, unfortunately Lucasfilms has shut it down. I mean, we all saw that coming as this fan remake looked actually great. And as with other fan remakes, this one will never see the light of day.
Indie developer Thanaclara has taken down all videos from the game’s YouTube channel, and removed everything from the game’s sub-reddit section. According to the C&D letter, he has until October 23rd to remove all Lucasfilms and Star Wars references from his project.

Back in July, we informed you about a project aiming to overhaul all the Nintendo 64 games with higher quality textures. And today, we are happy to report that Duke Nukem 64, Waverace 64 and some other games have received new HD Texture Packs.
Gaming Revived has released HD Texture Packs for a lot of classic Nintendo 64 games so far. You can find AI-enhanced packs for classic games like Donkey Kong 64, F-Zero X, GoldenEye 64 and MarioKart64. Moreover, you can find high quality textures for Mortal Kombat 4, Perfect Dark, PilotWings 64, Pokemon Snap and Quake64. Needless to say that there are also packs for Star Fox 64, Mario 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time and Turok.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade Fan Remaster is now available for download on the PC

Indie developer Rafael has released a new version of his remaster for the arcade version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a side-scrolling beat-’em-up that came out on the arcades in 1989. As you may have guessed, this game never came out on the PC. However, PC gamers can now experience it thanks to this unofficial remaster.
Version 3.0 comes with a new AI system for the enemies. Enemies are now more aggressive and have new animations. Moreover, Rafael has added better sprites for all turtles and enemies.
Now I really don’t know how long this fan game will be available as Konami may send its creator a C&D letter. We’ve seen this happening before, so I strongly suggest downloading the game as soon as possible.

DOOM 4 Vanilla 2.0 mod for Doom, Doom 2 & Final Doom released; adds 8 new weapons

Last month, we informed you about a gameplay mod for Doom, Doom 2 and Final Doom, called DOOM 4 Vanilla. DOOM 4 Vanilla is basically a demake of Doom 2016 that brings all of its all of its enemies and weapons to the classic Doom shooters. And a few days ago, the modder released a new major update for it.
Version 2.0 adds 8 optional weapons that can be individually picked to replace the regular ones. Moreover, it introduces a number of tweaks and aesthetical improvements to the game.

Wargaming has detailed its DirectX 11 Ray Tracing solution that will be coming soon to World of Tanks via a patch. Wargaming will be using Ray Tracing to enhance the game’s tank shadows and will take advantage of Intel’s Embree library. Moreover, this Ray Tracing solution will work on all DX11 GPUs.
