Should next gen systems be fully Backwards Compatible from Day 1 to encourage people to upgrade?

It would be a nice thing to have, fully backward compatibility.... I'd trade in my systems in a heartbeat and go all in on ps5 and xbox.....2..... or whatever the hell theyll end up calling it.
