Thursday news, part two:
Crossplay is now fully supported on PS4, and that's good for PC
https://www.pcgamer.com/crossplay-is-now-fully-supported-on-ps4-and-thats-good-for-pc/
The recent Modern Warfare crossplay test might become a lot more commonplace, as Sony has quietly moved PS4 crossplay out of beta, leaving the decision of whether or not to include crossplay up to developers. It's a significant change for a company that was previously resistant to the idea, but with the lines between platforms already becoming increasingly blurred, the turnabout seems like a necessity.
Bloodlines 2's latest faction is a bunch of bloodthristy nerds
https://www.pcgamer.com/bloodlines-2s-latest-faction-is-a-bunch-of-bloodthristy-nerds/
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2's penultimate faction reveal introduces us to the corpses of the University District. The Newcomers are an unimaginatively named group of blood mages and academics—nerds, basically—that has been given a prime feeding ground by Seattle's prince.
Warsaw, the World War 2 strategy-RPG that looks like Darkest Dungeon, is now on Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/warsaw-the-world-war-2-strategy-rpg-that-looks-like-darkest-dungeon-is-now-on-steam/
Warsaw is a turn-based tactical RPG set in occupied Warsaw, Poland in 1944 that has players leading a small group of "accidental heroes"—men and women, soldiers and civilians, young and old—against the might of the German army. We said in February that it looks a Second World War take on Darkest Dungeon and it definitely does, as you can see in the new trailer, in both its visual style and the shared theme of desperate struggle against overwhelming odds.
Destiny 2 players can claim a free Powerful engram from Bungie
https://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2-players-can-claim-a-free-powerful-engram-from-bungie/
Engrams are gem-like, polyhedral things that are used to deliver rewards in Destiny 2. They're basically mini-loot boxes: Do a job, get some engrams, go to The Tower to decrypt them, and surprise! It's your 27th Khepri's Horn. You'll pick up lots of them as you play, and most of the stuff you get from them won't be terribly valuable.
There's a real-world NASA Easter egg hidden on Destiny 2's Moon
https://www.pcgamer.com/theres-a-real-world-nasa-easter-egg-hidden-on-destiny-2s-moon/
Yesterday's launch of Destiny 2 on Steam and the rollout of the Shadowkeep expansion really seemed to be going well, until the wheels came off in a very sudden and spectacular fashion. But Bungie sounded the all-clear last night, and players are now free to move about the Lunar surface—and to go in search of a pretty cool NASA Easter egg while they're there.
Blizzard boss says it's still 'a PC developer first'
https://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-boss-says-its-still-a-pc-developer-first/
"I think the thing that we did a poor job of when we announced Diablo: Immortal was contextualizing what we think the future can be and what we think of mobile in particular," Blizzard president J. Allen Brack said in an interview with Gamespot. "And I also think the key thing that was lost, that we did a poor job double emphasizing, is we are a PC developer first. And then we look for other platforms that we think are awesome that can support the types of game play experiences that resonate with the type of games and values that we want to put forth into the world. And the example of that is, there was a little bit of a backlash when we [announced] that we were going to port Diablo 3 to console as well."
A hidden boss in The Division 2 went undiscovered for more than two months

Manning National Zoo was added to The Division 2 in July as part of the DC Outskirts: Expeditions DLC. And somehow, from then until today, a hidden boss named The Agony went entirely undiscovered by players—and as noted by Kotaku, would probably still be lurking unseen if developer Trick Dempsey hadn't hinted at its presence during today's State of the Game livestream.
Battlefield V has a new map inspired by a Battlefield 3 classic
https://www.pcgamer.com/battlefield-v-has-a-new-map-inspired-by-a-battlefield-3-classic/
Battlefield V will get a new map tomorrow, in the form of Operation Underground. As the name implies, the map is set predominantly underground, specifically in the subway tunnels of a ruined German city. If that sounds familiar, it's because DICE describes it as a spiritual successor to the Operation Metro map from Battlefield 3.
Black Firmament 2: a free dogfighting game you could fit on a postage stamp

'Full(ish)-fledged spaceship sims but at a tiny resolution' is a trend I am most in favour of. I first encountered it in the hugely impressive Norman's Sky, which squished the enormous sci-fi game into a 64x64 window, and I encounter the trend again in Black Firmament 2: PAX. It's Wing Commander, or Freespace, basically a space dogfighting game, but in a window the size of a thumbnail.
Hitman 2 is getting loads of costumes and missions for Halloween
https://www.pcgamer.com/hitman-2-is-getting-loads-of-costumes-and-missions-for-halloween/
Hitman 2's enigmatic Agent 47 adores dressing up, so Halloween is a very special time of year for him. This year, IO Interactive is keeping him pretty busy, but there will still be time for costumes, as well as tricks and scares across the month.
Please excuse my bad English.
