True. However, I've always find it fairly easy to avoid such things. I had Endgame ruined by ads on VGC though. And a UFC fighter ruined The Last Jedi for me. That blow was softened however, when upon viewing, the movie ruined itself. I can't say I've ever had a game spoiled though. Lucky? Careful? A bit of both maybe.

I actually lucked out with TLoU. I was able to buy it for the PS3 and not finish it. Then buy it again for PS4 and get to the end without spoilers.

With games like MGS4, some guy actually went through the trouble of posting spoilers on my wall (a banned user named Raiden Saves Snake). Somebody messaged me a huge death in Gears 3. And a gif of a lady smacking her ass spoiled Star Wars TFA while I was on my way to see it. Same with Logan.

It's usually a fanboy that goes out of their way to spoil things for a game console or franchise they don't like. And usually it's a big anticipated story based game.

I got off of all social media almost 5 years ago, so that has helped big time. Clicking on the Twitter feed of UFC fighter Colby Covington, who had spoilers to TLJ pinned to his feed is how that one happened. I was never personally targeted either. All the way back to MGS 4 and Gears 3? Yeesh. You've had bad luck.
