The latest hard detail about Apex Legends Season 3 is a big one: Apex Legends is getting a completely new map next week.
A new cinematic trailer, seen above, doesn't reveal every corner of the new environment, but it shows off several major landmarks and biomes, including lava and plenty of snow for players to sled. "I approve of this new planet," Caustic can be heard saying in the trailer, indicating that World's Edge takes place on a new rock entirely.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is coming soon—you may have seen it mentioned around here once or twice—and with it, the free-to-play New Light edition. There's been an awful lot of content released for Destiny 2 since it came out in 2017, in the form of campaign expansions and multiplayer modes and in-game events and stuff, and it's led to a little bit of confusion about what exactly is included with the free version of the game, and what you'll still need to pay for.

Call of Duty is one of the biggest and most successful videogame series of all time, and the return of Modern Warfare later this year is tremendously anticipated. It is also, to put it politely, tremendously polarizing among some fans, who are unhappy about the Special Ops Survival mode being a year-long PS4 exclusive, and a rumor (via Eurogamer) that supply drops will include weapons as well as cosmetic items. And some of their reactions have gone a little too far in the eyes of Infinity Ward art director Joel Emslie, who posted a message on Reddit reminding everyone that real people are working on the game, and that many of them read the comments.

The new trailer, above, is a lot like the one we saw in June, but it's reminded me just how impressive the weapons look. As rocker/warrior Therion, you're tasked with ridding a hulking space citadel of its demonic inhabitants by way of flamethrowers, laser beams, shotguns, rocket launchers, energy swords, satanic tentacles, a gun that shoots gold skulls and something called the Envoy of Destruction, which is immediately the one I want to use most.

Borderlands 3 patch buffs Zane, nerfs FL4K

The latest Borderlands 3 patch has made vault hunter Zane much more powerful by boosting the damage of his skills by as much as 75%.
Gearbox said Zane's tools added utility, but struggled at higher levels. The update is designed to change that: Zane's Digi-Clone, a digital copy of himself that hangs around for 15 seconds, will now deal 38% more damage, and Zane's drone now deals 50% more damage. Its drone rocket damage has been increased by the same amount, and its Almighty Ordnance Rockets now deal a whopping 75% more damage. All in all, it gives Zane far more firepower.
