Try the Wii controller. |
Because the Wii is new, interesting, innovative, reliable and shows promise. The PS2 is old, lacking reliability, at the end of its run and the PS3, it successor and future's sake, shows relatively little promise. This frustration you're expressing is indicative of an inability to understand more complex social and market trends in gaming. People like you yourself seem to latch onto one simple concept of appeal and run with it as if it's the sole deciding factor. For example, people who can't fathom graphics not being the most important factor in gaming this generation. People who can't fathom HD not being a requirement in this early stage of its standardizaiton. People who can't fathom why you wouldn't want the system with the most games irregardless quality or age. People who can't fathom why their opinion isn't the popular one this generation. It's short sighted and naive logic really. The Wii-mote is ideal, it is popular and it is selling the Wii like hotcakes. You can either ask if there is something wrong with everyone else, or if there is just something wrong with you. |
Nothing wrong with him or anybody else, I find a healthy balance of both to be very fufilling this generation. The new controll is a refreshing breath of air, but I still turn on my 360 just as much to gasp at some of the graphics. The true "zen" if you will is in the balance of both worlds and we can easily get that this generation. I do agree though the market tends to go to the hot buzz. wii is hot, Ps2 is yesterday wether we like it or not. Right now, sadly, Wii's sharing a lot of PS2 games because developers wrote it off initially and then when the Wii exploded they tried to rush projects out for it. It explains the tacky 1st gen games by and large. It'll pick up quite a bit I'm positive of it, just give all those slow developers time. As far as killing Halo3, no it won't happen but if it's as nice in the control scheme as I'm hearing and then factor in Halo 3 beta underwhelmed a lot of people(Multiplayer always has lower graphics) it could potentially draw attention away from Halo 3. On the other hand the Halo 3 beta being lower quality then single player, the single player trailers may impress and bring MORE attention to Halo 3. It's anybodies guess at this point..
Now what really would have helped Metroid Prime 3 would have been the inclusion of free online play, it would have easily drawn on those that like halo but don't want to pay for Xboxlive, I'm sure there's at least a few dissapointed by the need to pay for play. Sadly this is not the case though.
