Rocket League meets Harry Potter in this Quidditch-style sports game
https://www.pcgamer.com/rocket-league-meets-harry-potter-in-this-quidditch-style-sports-game/
Rocket League is cool, but what if you're more into capes than cars? Do you prefer magic wands and broomsticks to footballs and shin guards? Broomstick League takes a page from Harry Potter and pits teams of wizards and witches against each other in an arena sport that looks as close to Quidditch and Rocket League as you can get without having to acquire a license for either property. Look into your scrying mirror (or the video above) to check out the announcement trailer.

Blizzard shared some of its plans for the future of Hearthstone today in a blog post revealing a fun change to Standard play, new class portraits, quality of life changes, and more events—the first of which is set to begin in a couple of weeks. The event will feature "Dungeon Run-inspired Tavern Brawls, dual-class Arenas, Legendary quest rewards, and some meta-shifting changes," and while no specifics were revealed, Blizzard teased—very subtly—that it will "have more to share on this sensationally spooky event on October 4, but in the meantime... try not to lose your head!"

Flotsam is a bit like Sim City meets Waterworld: You have to build a town and take care of its people, but you've got to do it on the water, using scrounged bits of floating crapola, and then sail your settlement across a sprawling world full of ruins, underwater cities, and great coral reefs brimming with life and garbage.

The update digs deeper into how the studio intends to address the out-of-control damage stacking that game director Luke Smith discussed in his big state-of-the-game analysis in August, which will see pinnacle weapons nerfed and the effect of damage-dealing perks reduced in PvE.

Go foraging in lovely free text adventure Mushroom Hunt
https://www.pcgamer.com/be-a-real-fungi-in-lovely-free-text-adventure-mushroom-hunt/
Made with the promising Adventuron engine, Mushroom Hunt is a cute, small text adventure that lets you explore a mysterious woodland in some detail. You live in a hut with your grandma in said woodland, and she's tasked you with finding three mushrooms to help her with dinner. There are actually quite a few more than that scattered around, but finding even the required three will involve a good deal of exploration and text-based puzzling.

In addition to the big update, however, the team's also working on some quality of life improvements and new features requested by players.

Kenshi's community can decide the fate of an Unreal Engine port
https://www.pcgamer.com/kenshis-community-can-decide-the-fate-of-an-unreal-engine-port/
Kenshi, Lo-Fi Games' eccentric sandbox RPG, left Early Access almost a year ago, but the developer has started work on a new version. This has become a distraction from work on Kenshi 2, however, so Lo-Fi Games' CEO is asking the community to help him decide how to proceed.
