Update: WBIE just dropped a new tease for something—could be anything!—on Twitter. Make of it what you will, but bear in mind that the new PlayStation "State of Play" stream takes place tomorrow, September 24, at 1 pm PT/4 pm ET. Perhaps we'll learn more then—we'll be sure to let you know if we do.

https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-is-getting-skill-based-matchmaking-and-bots/
Fortnite changes a lot from week to week (and, sometimes, day to day), but one thing about it that's remained fairly constant is its matchmaking. But soon that will no longer be the case: Epic announced today that the 10.40 update will bring changes to the game's "core modes" that Epic said will create fairer games for everyone by matching up players of similar skill levels.

Mojang announced last week that it will take a vote on which of three Minecraft biomes will get major new upgrades first. The vote, which takes place on September 28 to coincide with MineCon Live, pits the Swamp, Mountains and Badlands biomes against one another. As of today, we know a bit about what the Badlands update will entail.

With the test all wrapped up, Infinity Ward has now shared some of the feedback it's received about the game in an update posted to Reddit. Some of the points in the list, like "crashes," are very vague, while others are quite specific, but the studio emphasized that it only represents a portion of the feedback received, "so please don’t be alarmed if you don’t see a particular issue you reported in the list below."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is getting a sizeable update soon, and it does away with Blackout's zombie apocalypse theme while adding tanks and a new vehicle-centric game mode. 'Heavy Metal Heroes' is a limited time mode for Blackout, and in addition to dropping onto the map with a customised loadout of armor and weaponry, the map itself is strewn with ramps, and vehicles like ARAVs, ATVs, motorbikes and tanks all have thrust jumping.

Free puzzler Tetromino Slide jumbles Tetris in a devious way

Of the eight billion Tetris ports and clones that have been released since the original, few are willing to mess about with the fundamentals—after all, they work remarkably well. You move a chunky shape as it falls, you rotate it so it better fits in with its blocky friends. It's a genius idea. And Stephen Lavelle has just twisted the core of it, in a very fun way.

I got sweaty with the Colonel in the KFC dating sim
https://www.pcgamer.com/i-got-sweaty-with-the-colonel-in-the-kfc-dating-sim/
I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator is out today on Steam. It sure is an advert for fast food and aloof men. It is far better than it has any right to be—that's the trap—but I already regret immersing myself in chicken and late stage capitalism.
