Monday news, part two:

https://www.pcgamer.com/suspect-who-ddosed-world-of-warcraft-classic-is-arrested/
Earlier this month, World of Warcraft Classic servers were hit with a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack that made reliably accessing its servers a struggle for many players across North America. And now, a Blizzard community manager followed up to say that after a brief investigation a suspect has been arrested.

Minecraft is finally getting an actual character creator, and you can try it out by opting into the beta for version 1.13.0.15 if you're using the Windows 10 (Bedrock) version of the game.

Borderlands 3's first in-game event is called Bloody Harvest
https://www.pcgamer.com/borderlands-3s-first-in-game-event-is-called-bloody-harvest/
October is only ten days away, and that means that spooky in-game events will soon be slithering into every other online game you play. Borderlands 3 is one of them: The first limited time in-game event will be called Bloody Harvest and will bring with it a new mission, a new debuff, and of course new guns.
>> This article is from 3 days ago and, apparently, it will last roughly a week.

Overland, the strategy game about driving through the apocalypse with dogs, is out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/overland-the-strategy-game-about-driving-through-the-apocalypse-with-dogs-is-out-now/
After several years of development, a beta on itch.io, and silly bug fix notes on its Twitter account, Overland is finally out. The turn-based strategy game about driving across the US while avoiding creepy crawly aliens is quite tough, from what I've played so far. Don't let the dogs fool you. Everyone eventually dies or gets left behind in the apocalypse. Even the pups, I'm sad to report.

Mutazione, an adventure game set in a gossipy small town, is out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/mutazione-the-adventure-game-soap-opera-is-out-now/
Small towns are all full of drama and despite being hit by a meteor 100 years ago, it seems that Mutazione, the town that used to be a resort, is no different. You'll play as 15-year-old Kai who's moved to town to take care of her sick grandfather. While tending to him and his garden, Kai engages in other small-town activities like BBQs and band nights where she deals with all the local gossip.

Afterparty, the next game from Oxenfree's developers, will be out in October
https://www.pcgamer.com/afterparty-the-next-game-from-oxenfrees-developers-will-be-out-in-october/
The next game from Night School Studio, the developer of creepy adventure game Oxenfree, looks just as spooky as that game, but possibly funnier. The narrative-heavy adventure is about two best friends waking up in Nowhere, the outer ring of Hell, and drinking their way out.

Cube World launches on September 30
https://www.pcgamer.com/cube-world-release-date/
Cube World is a comeback story no one expected. After going silent over five years ago, people assumed this Minecraft-inspired RPG was vaporware, but earlier this month developer Wolfram von Funck shocked everyone by announcing that Cube World was indeed coming out, and now we know just how soon.

The Fortnite Batman crossover is live
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-fortnite-batman-crossover-is-live/
The Batman/Fortnite crossover we knew was coming thanks to a datamined leak is live now, on what is apparently Batman Day. It'll continue for the next two weeks (or what some of us call a "fortnight") during which Tilted Towers will be transformed into Gotham City.

https://www.pcgamer.com/obsidian-are-hiring-staff-for-their-next-world-class-rpg/

https://www.pcgamer.com/star-trek-online-players-held-a-torchlit-vigil-for-aron-eisenberg-in-quarks-bar/
Aron Eisenberg, who played the Ferengi Nog in all seven seasons of Deep Space Nine, as well as appearing as Kar in an episode of Voyager, died on September 21. The much-loved actor was honored by fans in Star Trek Online—in which he also appeared, voicing Nog during the tutorial—with a torchlight vigil at Quark's Bar.

Undertale meets Necrodancer in free game Everhood
https://www.pcgamer.com/undertale-meets-necrodancer-in-free-game-everhood/
Everhood is a lovely surprise. It's formatted like a 16-bit JRPG, meaning you'll walk around a world from a top-down perspective, chatting to locals and occasionally getting into battles. But every other aspect of JRPGs has been ditched: there are no stats, no items, no levelling, no spells. Instead, every battle is a tense rhythm game.

Buy Code Vein with your own blood
https://www.pcgamer.com/buy-code-vein-with-your-own-blood/
Code Vein, Bandai Namco's vampire ARPG, is out in a few days, and some of you might be able to get your hands on a copy by giving up some of the blood that you aren't using—you've got loads—to an extremely good cause.

Tenderfoot Tactics is a tactical RPG that cuts out random chance
https://www.pcgamer.com/tenderfoot-tactics-is-a-tactical-rpg-that-cuts-out-random-chance/
Tenderfoot Tactics is a tactical RPG full of magical goblins trying to outrun the end of the world. They'll have to fight to survive, but thankfully they've got flashy elemental powers that let them manipulate the battlefield and their attacks always hit.
