This kind of hatred is present on all major platforms, so there is no correct answer. Can you really separate the two (disliking mobile game influence and how the franchise is being made more and more mobile focused) though? Again, to use the franchise I am more familiar with (Pokemon), a good bit of the fears of the fans who are not happy with things that been shown in Gen 8 is that Game Freak will turn the franchise mobile and that mobile has been eating away at the more unique spin off titles that used to be more common.
While I do retain that I can't see Game Freak ever putting say, Gen 9 on phones or anything (as Nintendo has enough of an influence that I can't see the titles multi platting anytime soon), I can at least see what they are going at when it comes to a general reduction in spinoffs off phones.
The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
