Yeah I can't see how their QA guys looked at this and said "yeah this is good enough, ship it". Especially when far more people own the base systems than the enhanced ones.

19:10 in that video on the base PS4 version of it :( that has to be patched.

Compare what that looks like to Detroit on the same hardware

That version of Control works so poorly at points there that if you bought a PS4 and that was the first game you got you would seriously question the abilities of the console to deliver that level of graphics, which is a real shame from Remedy.

That's because Detriot isn't using the same engine as Remedy is with Control, which uses a reconstruction technique, that ends up demanding more.

Then this on QB:

Only search for the reconstruction technique, and you'll see the pattern.

Remedy just need to dump the engine and start from scratch. I know someone can tell me that they can "edit" out that flaw in their engine, but I don't trust any dev to completely remove it, as id still focuses on megatextures since RAGE 1, which now even exist in DOOM 16 and even Wolfenstein TNO, TNC and Youngblood, and of course we know bethesda just slaps a new coat of paint on their ancient engine. Better to start over than to trust someone wanting to hold onto a flawed concept.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see
