The studios that made games every 2 years, are now doing it every 3. Santa Monica has only released one game this gen that was internally developed. Yet they made 2 games for PS3, and 3 games for PS2. It just takes longer to make games, and it'd be nice if there was an easy way to address that.

I don't see why this has to be a Sony thing, though. Games are just getting bigger, with higher quality assets, as the HW continues to improve. This goes for all devs. Unless you want to rush development and put out a subpar product, it's going to take a little longer. Obviously, no one is truly wanting for great SW. And I think the higher sales for PS4 exclusives show that consumers are fine with the extra attention put into the games.
