Those are still full games. The story way be separated, but just because they are called Episode I-II-III doesn’t make them episodic games the way we describe such games these days.
Like the Star Wars movies having Episode in their titles don’t really differentiate them from the format used for the LOTR films.
They’re full movies or games, but only a part of an overarching story spanning multiple entries.
