Sure, I think that a JPN focused game could definitely be announced. However, I think that it would be AA or digital at best, which is more in line with what Sony shows off from their studios at TGS (but of course not all the time). The thing is, I don't see what the incentive is here for Sony to announce a major title from Japan Studios. Western Sony games have sold better in the region, the JPN games aren't selling that well... a major game focused on JPN doesn't seem like a smart move at all imo. But I am down for anything.
Sure, AA and digital releases: games that aren't big enough to convince a large number of ppl to pick up a PS5. But I am sure Ghost of Tsushima is the last of their AAA games for PS4. or not... lol we will see |
And GoT may become a crossgen as well. But they will hold any announcements to hype PS5, they want to have a fast start like PS4.

But I agree that Sony should not be announcing anymore AAA PS4 games unless they are cross-gen with the PS5. It's about time they revealed the darn thing to us. It's been too long since I've had the feeling of playing a brand new PS console. I'm all for them dropping it this year. :P |
Some people really hate Knack, it had sold more than a Mario mainline game in UK and there was an user (ethomaz) that defended Knack a lot so it became a meme based on these 3 pilars.
