TLOU2 will probably not outsell Spider-Man but isn't that technically a 2nd party game anyway?
1st party developer: A developer that is fully owned by the platform holder (e.g. Naughty Dog).
2nd party developer: A developer that is partially owned/funded by the platform holder or under contract to release games for a specific platform (e.g. Insomniac Games).
3rd party developer: A developer or publisher that releases games on multiple platforms and is not owned by the platform holder (e.g. FromSoftware).
1st party exclusive: A game that is developed by a 1st party studio and released for a specific platform (e.g. The Last of Us).
2nd party exclusive: A game that is developed by a 2nd party studio and released for a specific platform (e.g. Spider-Man).
3rd party exclusive: A game that is developed by a 3rd party studio and released for a specific platform (e.g. Dead Rising 3).
3rd party game: A game that is developed by a 3rd party studio and released for multiple platforms (e.g. Dark Souls).
