Y'all are too conspiracy happy. Doing something like what's being suggested would be too difficult to cover up if an investigation were to follow. The murder would be caught, and they'd be in even deeper doodoo. No, this was indeed a suicide. However, it's very possible that the people responsible for preventing a suicide were paid off, and that the space and method for him to do this were provided to him. It's also quite possible that he was encouraged to do it, or possibly "encouraged" to do it. That would all be much easier to hide than an actual murder. I'd be interested to see the visitor logs and maybe hear any phone calls he made.

The murderer would be caught but camera's were apparantly malfunctioning and this on a like a 'high' target.  He probably had information about some people (and honestly don't care if it were republicans/democrats) his suicide is very convenient.

Does not mean at all that he got murdered but you can't blame people thinking that someone murdered him.
