Now lets use reason to understand why Xbox is so quick to go third party.

Because they (MS) want to bring their games and services to a wider audience. But that doesn't take anything away from Xbox gamers. They lose nothing by Switch owners also being able to play Cuphead or the older Halos.

MS already has the "widest" audience on the planet there is. Windows. There are flat out more people using a windows device than any other console or computing device combined. 

Honestly, If I were MS, rather than fighting with sony, bedding with Nintendo and trying to be a Gameflix? I would kill off the Xbox console, they go all-in into a PC game store and build my services around that.
