Yeah Anno 1800 is £49.99... lol.

TBH the same thing happens on consoles, for digital games with certain publishers. Regularly you'll get EA/Ubisoft games launching for ridiculous prices like £59.99 on the PlayStation store, while being £39.99 or £44.99 for the physical copy.

So if PC games still released physically as well you could probably avoid this inflated digital prices by publishers.
