Basically I agree, but its not any useful if the console is launching and no games are ready. If Xbox Scarlett would launch early 2020, e.g. March, like Switch did in 2017, it basically would be good. But I feel like then the launch lineup would be like non-existing. Especially the most big important 3rd Party games from 2020 like CoD are very far away then. Sure Xbox Scarlett could receive an Version of 2019 CoD and general the big 3rd games from late 2019. But I can imagine an Xbox Scarlett release simultaneously to the Cyberpunk 2077 release with some extra Love to Xbox Scarlett-Version could move quite some consoles. Maybe MS even should grab some money and offer a bundle with Cyberpunk 2077 for like 20 bucks more or so. They should do everything they can to get a kind of headstart against PS5. But that only works if CD Red could do it until then. But I feel like they can not. They probably need the approximately 6 month from Cyberpunk 2077 launch until next Gen release to make a proper version for Xbox Scarlett and PS5. Well, you could actually think a lot about it and what can happen and what makes sense^^ Sorry fot that much OT. :( I was carried away ;) Numbers are still pretty good for Switch. Not too long ago it was slightly behind PS4 in weekly sales, now it is clearly ahead due to SMM2 and some promotion stuff. I am really looking forward to Switch light release :) |
Comeing off of that Meme, with Xbox has no games..... I agree, they probably can't affoard to launch without a qualitiy set of games ready at launch.
Sony actually can get away with it, the first 1,5-2 years or so, of the playstation 4 life cycle, the xbox One had a stronger lineup.
Its only year 3,4,5,6 ect, where Playstation is really showing their strength compaired to the xbox.
The meme at start of gen was "greatness awaits", because it took a year or two for PS4 to really get going compaired to xb1.

Go strait to 199$ imo.
dropping 50$ gets a little attention, but a 100$ drop at once, thats perm.... that ll get noticed by consumers.
