NVIDIA Apollo 11 Moon Landing Tech Demo now supports full real-time ray tracing and looks gorgeous
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/nvidia-apollo-11-moon-landing-tech-demo-now-supports-full-real-time-ray-tracing-and-looks-gorgeous/
Last year, NVIDIA revealed an amazing version of Apollo 11 Moon Landing Tech Demo, showcasing some newly implemented ray tracing effects. However, the green team has decided to enhance that earlier moon-landing tech demo with new RTX real-time ray tracing technology, and shared some new screenshots from it.
According to NVIDIA, in the new tech demo – and thanks to the RTX tech – each pixel on the screen is generated by tracing, in real time, the path of a beam of light backwards into the camera (your viewing point), picking up details from the objects it interacts.

Stadia director: We're going to 'feel great' about all our games moving to the cloud
https://www.pcgamer.com/stadia-director-were-going-to-feel-great-about-all-our-games-moving-to-the-cloud/
A Reddit AMA featuring Stadia director of product Andrey Doronichev that took place yesterday didn't serve up a lot of new information about what we can look forward to in Google's upcoming streaming games service. But it did offer a little bit of insight into what the service is (and is not), and what will happen to your games if Stadia goes the way of Google Plus.
>> Here's the link to the AMA, and he cleverly avoided to answer the question about what will happen to the games you've bought if the service fails. By the way, Ubisoft says that cost of porting games to Google Stadia is 'not that high'

Another week, another article about PC games running with Pascal Gilcher’s Reshade Ray Tracing Global Illumination solution. This Reshade works on both AMD’s and NVIDIA’s hardware, meaning that everyone can get a taste of Ray Tracing (though this implementation is more of a hack and not as great as RTX). Below you can find Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Mass Effect Andromeda and STALKER: Clear Sky running with it, as well as some extreme Ray Tracing examples for both Quake 4 and Crysis.

New patch for Mortal Kombat Project: Season 2 Final, best free MK Mugen game, adds story, character intros & more
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/new-patch-for-mortal-kombat-project-season-2-final-best-free-mk-mugen-game-adds-story-character-bios-more/
Borg117 has released a brand new patch for the best free Mortal Kombat Mugen game to date, Mortal Kombat Project: Season 2 Final. Patch 5 adds a story mode to the game by implementing a game intro similar to Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy, but updated to post-MKT canon, also with new graphics for MKT text boxes.
Furthermore, this patch introduces character intros (before the arcade mode and on the menu screen delay), updates the character endings with more graphics, and updates the game credits with new look and code.
This patch also comes with some gameplay tweaks and fixes. For instance, AI reaction to jump punch/kick rate has been dropped a bit, AI rate at performing HaraKiri has also been lowered, the boss corner stumble has been fixed and you won’t face yourself in the arcade mode when you play as bosses or sub-bosses (except of Shao Kahn).

This Spider-Man mod for San Andreas almost looks like the PS4 exclusive
https://www.pcgamer.com/this-spider-man-mod-for-san-andreas-almost-looks-like-the-ps4-exclusive/
Swinging through New York as a friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is just about the most satisfying thing you can do in a videogame. When it's done well, like in Spider-Man 2 or the recent PS4 exclusive, it's a hypnotic acrobatic display that's graceful but still lets you go at buttock-clenching speeds. While the latest Spidey outing won't be gracing PCs, modder J16D has rather skilfully incorporated some of its best bits into a GTA: San Andreas mod.
J16D has been working on their Spider-Man mod since 2015, but the latest video shows that the new game has become a source of inspiration, with J16D mimicking some of the animations from Insomniac's game, along with costumes and even the UI.
>> It's still a work in progess mod and there's no link for it, yet.
