Definitely has to do with demonitizationas Nintendo is among the most vigilant with with claiming content on YouTube without care for fair use usage.

^This. Nintendo doesn't quite grasp how the internet works. They even think people wanted voice chat on Switch via a smartphone app.

Spoiler!

Their Directs, however, show that Nintendo does have an idea on how the Internet works. Maybe not the full idea, or maybe its something they, as a business culture, are not considering. I just have a hard time knowing key members like Koizumi, Aonuma, Takahashi, Nogami, etc. have little knowledge of the Internet. And didn't Nintendo sort of monetize videos on NicoNico, the Japanese equivalence to YouTube? I wonder how was that received?

Edit: Nintendo has lifted its Nintendo Youtube Creators Program last year.
