Hmm, if Microsoft showed of Age of Empires 2 at E3 that year then I'd pick them hands down.
Also this is the year of Shenmues release in Japan,
Roller Coaster Tycoon came out.
So did Homeworld, Rayman 2, Crazy Taxi, Pokemon Gold and Silver & Unreal Tournament.
