I follow a lot of Nintendo/JRPG's centric channels on Youtube (Spawn Wave, SomeonecallmeJonhy,Arlo,Gamexplain, etc ...) and it seems that a lot of people I do follow on Twitter do have interest for Nintendo content. So, I do understand your point but from my own perspective, this isn't the case, imo.

That’s my experience as well. I’ve seen a plethora of Nintendo content. And even during the years when Nintendo wanted to monetize YouTube videos, they did work with YouTubers in presenting their content. JWittz is known for Pokemon/Nintendo content and was one of the guys who presented Pokemon Go at E3 2016. Game Theorists collaborated with Reggie and Miyamoto. Even Rosanna Pansino had Miyamoto as a guest for one of her videos baking some Mario related goodies. So it was not like Nintendo hated YouTubers, just wanted to control the message for better or worse. And even then, their Nintendo Directs have a plethora of views that should have given them great word of mouth over the years.
