I don't remember a cliffhanger at the end of the third game, so it was probably something rather insignificant if there was something.

In any case, I am not excited about the possibility of a fourth game. Zero Time Dilemma emphasized gore to cover up for its rather thin script, so I wouldn't expect a return to form for a sequel.

There was, and had many unanswered questions left from the third and second game.I mean, the cliffhanger wasnt as "big" as the one in the second game, but it obviously wasnt the end of the story, at least it didnt imply as much.

And well, when I say I want a fourth game, I am also hoping it would be a return to form. For it to be as good as 999 and VLR.I know that Uchi is probably tired about writing stories

Spoiler!
about time travelling and dimension jumping

(And thats probably why ZTD didnt turn out as good as it could have been), but I want to keep my hopes up.

At the very least, give the franchise a soft reboot.Tie up the loose ends in the forth game through flashbacks or through small observations that characters give in the game, but make it a new arc and completely new characters. That way you have a (almost) blank slate to make whatever your story ends up being.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
