Kinda think its awesome he did that, and won, and donated it to a good cause.
Dude was one with high moral integrity + principles.

Most people would be too lazy to do anything about a small injustice, like paying 1$ extra because of your gender.
He did this because of his principle that there should be gender equality.
When he won, he donated it to a womens trust, for bettering womens lives.

What's even more fun is that the ladies expect men to buy them their drinks, or buy them a drink on those nights still.
