I am not a Zelda fan so I go with Mario, the question is which one?
The original smb was iconic, the problem is that smb3 completely demolished it, making the original Mario almost obsolete, on the other hand for me smw was a bit of a let down compared to what I consider the undisputed champion of 2d platformers smb3.
So I go with Mario 64, the game opened a need world, Mario controlled like a super athlete, I had fun just jumping around , the music is iconic,it created the collectaton,the levels remain unforgettable, Mario 64 is a timeless master piece, still the best 3D Mario.
