What's your experience with the loading times. 20 Seconds on PS4 vs 50 Seconds on Switch would make hesitate to call this an excellent port, though I've only seen one comparison. Playing on PS4 the loading times are already slightly too long for my liking. However once you're actually in the race the Switch port looks good.

They are a little annoying, but not as bad as I was led to believe honestly, with a lot of people on other forums labeling them as terrible enough to be a total dealbreaker, which for me at least isn't the case.

Digital Foundry measured the load times from the hub into a race as between 38 and 41 seconds on Switch vs 24 on Xbox One X and 26 on PS4 respectively. So hardly ideal on any platform, but not game-ruiningly dreadful either. Hopefully it's something a patch can address.

Overall, they're certainly a drawback, but in my opinion outweighed by it running smoothly throughout and looking nice.

Yeah I thought 20 vs 50 must be the most extreme case, that was for Sewer Speedway so might be the worst track for loading. I imagine the Loading times is due to compression, the Switch CPU having to uncompress data as it's loaded into ram. The Switch version is only 5.7gb while the PS5/XBO version is 15gb+. Might be a consequence of them trying to fit the game on a cheaper cartridge. But that's just a theory. Getting the file size down without substantially increasing load times shouldn't be a problem, and isn't for a lot of other Switch games afaik. Probably just the way Beenox chose to do it.
